I strongly disagree with Broadway's long standing aversion to video recordings. It would increase the audience for Broadway and musical theater by a thousand fold, and ultimately create more theater tourism. If the production company would make a legit recording and make it available to the public, there would be no need for the bootleg. People would much rather have a sanctioned recording, but lacking that, they'll settle for a bootleg.
